For the best reading

  • A woman faces a bright window, her face evenly lit and filling the frame

Do: Even light, face fills the frame

  • The same woman with a bright window behind her, her face in shadow

    Avoid: Light behind you

  • The same woman photographed from far away, her face small in the frame

    Avoid: Too far away

  • Face a window or a bright, even light
  • Take off glasses and pull hair off your forehead
  • Start with clean skin, no makeup
  • Look straight ahead and fill the frame with your face
